A Flexifoil Blade III 6.6 review by Neil B:
I have been landboarding for about 2 years and used many traction kites during this period including 3.3 Vortex, 2.5 Bullet, 5m Peter Lynne and so on.

I recently decided to invest in a Blade III and after much consideration and reading a library of information I settled on the 6.6m (purple and grey) with a control bar. This kite is available with handles although I really would not recommend them for winds above about 7 - 8 MPH. The kit arrived and instantly revealed its Flexifoil Quality, the handy back pack is excellent for boarders and the extreme condition flexifoil flying lines are the best I have ever seen and flown.

A little nervously I launched the Blade on a beach in NW England, wind gusting about 12 - 15MPH. At this point I was so glad I had a Harness! The power delivery was incredible and the serious lift made 'Airs' easy work. The Blade flew comfortably in about 6Mph upwards and although 6.6m may seem big and cumbersome the turn rate is surprisingly good.

I was so impressed I had to go out for a second bite at the cherry the next day. This time on a football field, wind was about the same as the day before, but more steady. Boarded for about an hour and again very impressed with the performance, also the Blade has an excellent up wind capability which allowed me more quality board time in a small area. If the Blade is flown from the edge of the envelope to the top of the window the lift generated will certainly impress or frighten the best of us. In winds of 15MPH and above 10ft Airs are made easy with this awesome kite.

In Summary:

The 6.6m Blade III is an amazing piece of Kit that flies well and produces an incredible amount of power and lift. The package is 10 out of 10 for quality and value. I believe Flexifoil have demonstrated a full commitment to boarders with the release of the Blade III. If you want a kite that performs well and you have plenty of bottle then this one is your baby. Flexifoil have certainly done the works on this one and hats off to the design team that know what they are doing!

The only piece of advise I can offer is, 'Make sure you have plenty of respect for it otherwise you may come un-stuck!'

I would not recommend this kite for beginners or to anyone who is not willing to part company with the earth.

Have Fun! & Fly Safe!

A Flexifoil Blade III 6.6 review by mx5alan:
The 6.6m is a great kite, having flown the 4.9 I think I prefer the bigger 6.6 as it felt and handled better when turned. In the less than 10mph winds I flew it in didn't see any tip collapse. The kite generates loads of lift so is ideal for low wind landboarding. Noticed when flying 4.9 tips folded easily and turned slowly but having flown the 6.6 IMO this kite is much better when flown in the lower range of the 4.9. As with ALL similar Big kites NOT for beginners. Advanced or Expert flyers only. Only flown this kite for a short period of time but think it could be best Blade I have flown.
