A Libre Vampir 5.2 review by Woody: First of all, the quality of this kite is really good, the only thing in my opinion that lets the kite down are the handles. Saying
that though that's my personal preference and the handles are still really good quality. The quality for the price is amazing
really, I think it's only going to be about £20-£40 more than the Blade III 4.9 but the quality is equal if not superior.
The Vampir is targeted towards the Beginner Buggy Racing. The Aspect ratio is similar to the Blade III but it felt like it had
less lift. The power is very consistent throughout the window, much like the Ozone Little Devils.
If you do collapse it (Flown in sub 8mph) they recover VERY well.
When the kite's at the edge of the window you can hold it there and the power is very good. It got the buggys moving in
about 5-6mph (inland) which is pretty good for a 5.2m kite. It got going before the Blade III 4.9's too.
To be honest if you want a kite to start getting into racing, this is it. It's not going to yank your arms out
of their sockets like the Blades do and it's as stable as the Little Devils with the performance of the Razors. You'll
be able to get some serious speed with these kites!!! Unfortunately, I only flew it in sub 8mph, if that, to be honest,
but the way it flew was very good and showed a lot of potential. Wouldn't mind another go in a little more wind to
really get to see how it performs in its wind range.
